Third suspect arrested in shooting death of 17-year-old outside Dorchester high school

A Boston man was arrested on Monday in connection to the shooting of 17-year-old Raekwon Brown, according to Boston police.Jaden Waiters, 20, was located and arrested by police in relation to June’s fatal shooting near the Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester.Waiters was charged with murder and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester Municipal Court on Tuesday.“To … Raekwon’s family, again, I can only hope that the news of today’s third arrest brings with it some small measure of comfort and solace,” Police Commissioner William Evans said in a statement.At around 1:16 p.m. on June 8, officers responded to a report of a shooting near the high school. Police said officers discovered four gunshot wound victims upon arrival and three of the victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The fourth victim, Brown, a student at the school, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.  Two men, Jonathan Aguasvivas, 23, of Roxbury, and Benzy Bain, 24, of Mattapan, were arrested and charged with murder on June 22 in connection with the shooting.

District Attorney Dan Conley said the investigation is still “extremely active.”

“Our goal is not just an arrest, not just an indictment, but the best and strongest case we can build, based on the most reliable evidence we can put to a jury, ” he said in a statement.
