Police arrest 5 people on drug and weapons charges in Lynn

Five people are under arrest after state and local police say they seized over six pounds of marijuana and three loaded semi-automatic weapons at a Lynn apartment Wednesday morning.

State police said officers with the state’s Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section went to the Mall Street apartment with the U.S. Marshal’s Service where Moises Casado, 20, of Chelsea, was arrested on a federal warrant for cocaine distribution.

After obtaining a search warrant, police said they seized more than 300 grams of cocaine, over $7,000 in cash, and narcotics packaging and distribution materials along with the three firearms and marijuana. Four others in the apartment were also arrested: Allban Ramadine, 19, of Lynn, Tevin Nyachero, 18, of Revere, Jorge Delgado-Medina, 20, of Everett, and an unidentified 17-year-old male.

Delgado-Medina was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and three warrants for cocaine trafficking, armed robbery, and carrying a dangerous weapon.

The four adults are expected to be arraigned in Lynn District Court Thursday.
