Lowell man arrested in connection to shooting at Burlington Mall

Noel Semprit
Police have arrested a 19-year-old Lowell man in connection to a shooting that occurred in the Burlington Mall parking lot earlier this year.
Noel Semprit was arrested Tuesday, and is expected to be arraigned in Middlesex Superior Court, according to police.
Police said a man was shot in the parking lot on the evening of April 14. The victim suffered injuries that weren’t considered to be life-threatening, according to police. At the time, police said they believed the shooter and the victim knew each other.
“Burlington is a community that is not accustomed to violence,” Burlington Police Chief Michael Kent said in a statement. “Thanks to the hard work of our detectives and partners, we have sent a clear message that wanton acts of senseless violence will not be tolerated, and those responsible for such acts will be tracked down and brought to justice.”
