Authorities: Firearms and explosives found in car after alleged attempted robbery

Marlborough police discovered firearms and explosives in a car early Tuesday morning during an investigation into an alleged attempted robbery, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.

At about 3:30 a.m., police responded to a call of a man dressed in all black and armed with a firearm near Boston Post Road.

Authorities learned upon arrival that Andrew Josefek, 40, had allegedly entered a victim’s home and demanded money. Police said Josefek then struck the victim in the face with a cell phone.

Police found Josefek’s vehicle with a second suspect, Kelly Walker, 34, sitting inside, according to the DA’s office. After police conducted a search of the car, they allegedly found seven explosive devices, four of them deemed live by state police, in addition to numerous firearms.
