Arlington man charged with arson, attempted murder
An Arlington man has been charged with arson and attempted murder after authorities say he deliberately set a fire that endangered the lives of two people.
Matthew Cody, 30, was arrested by Boston police on Monday morning, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office. Authorities say he set fire to an area at 41 West. St. in October 2015, where two homeless men slept nearby. The homeless men were roused by good Samaritans who smelled smoke, the DA’s office said.
Cody will be arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court on Monday.
