Arlington man arrested after child pornography investigation

An Arlington man has been arrested and charged with possessing and distributing child pornography.

Mason Lister, 21, has been charged with possession of visual material of a child in the state of nudity or sexual conduct and distribution of visual material of a child in the state of nudity or sexual conduct.

Police say they discovered that Lister was allegedly trading obscene images of children online via DropBox, Kik, and Twitter. Police seized a computer and tablet from Lister’s home.

“The exploitation and abuse of children are among the worst crimes in our society,” said Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan. “The Arlington Police Department will continue to pursue these felons aggressively wherever they may be.”

Lister will be arraigned in Cambridge District Court.
