Man, woman charged in connection with passport theft at Tyngsborough home
Tyngsborough police tracked down two suspects with a K-9 and charged them with receiving stolen property after a man’s passports went missing in his home.
Police charged Tamara Reed, 29, and Joseph Anderson, 31, in connection with the theft of a man’s personal and military passport from his home on Friday. Officers say they discovered a damaged locked filing cabinet in the man’s bedroom. The items reported stolen included the two passports as well as a black and gray North Face backpack, clothes, and grooming items.
The following day, police were called to a Tyngsborough street at 12:30 p.m. where two men were chasing a man and a woman. One of the men was the victim of the theft the previous day and told police he was chasing the people who stole his property. Police say the suspects ran into the woods, where officials discovered them with the help of a K-9.
Police say all of the items stolen from the home were recovered and Reed and Anderson may face additional charges.
