The fire destroyed the Charles Sumner Elementary School playground on May 23, police say.

Firefighters responded to the blaze just before 10 p.m. on that night. The fire spread to the trees and power lines surrounding the equipment as well, causing officials to call Eversource to deal with the arcing wires.

The three suspects will be charged in West Roxbury District Court.
