Man accused of killing fuel company worker, shooting self has died
New Hampshire authorities are investigating the shooting death of a fuel company employee, who was killed Tuesday while servicing a heating system in a Londonderry home.
The Office of the New Hampshire Attorney General said Wednesday that City Fuel employee Daniel Rabideau, 59, was shot in the head while working in the home of Richard Verville, 71, on Currier Road. The preliminary investigation indicates Verville shot Rabideau before turning the gun on himself in a suicide attempt, according the AG’s office.
Verville died in a Massachusetts hospital on Wednesday, authorities said. An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Massachusetts to determine his cause of death.
When Londonderry police responded to Verville’s residence Tuesday, they found Rabideau dead and Verville critically injured with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, authorities said. Verville was apparently suffering from “significant mental health issues” at the time, according to the AG’s office.
