East Sandwich man arrested for 6th OUI offense

A 54-year-old man was arrested in Bourne for operating under the influence, marking his sixth OUI offense, State Police said.

William Dickey, of East Sandwich, was driving west over the speed limit on Route 25 in Bourne on Wednesday night, police said. He was pulled over and, after an investigation, arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, police said.

He was arraigned in Falmouth District Court on OUI and several other charges, including negligent operation of a motor vehicle and driving with a license suspended for operating under the influence.

A spokeswoman for Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office said it was Dickey’s fourth OUI offense in Falmouth. He also faces two pending OUI charges in Orleans District Court. Dickey was held on $10,000 bail.
