Police then learned the suspect had fled the scene by car after a security guard confronted him about the equipment stolen from the area. Using a description of Lyndell, the car, and a license plate number, police said they were able to locate the car at a residence on the corner of Pearl and Whitman streets.

Through the investigation, police also discovered Lyndell’s license plate had been stolen weeks earlier, according to police.
