No spectators were arrested or given a citation at the Boston Marathon on Monday, Boston Police said.

Police Commissioner Bill Evans said in a post-race interview that there were no incidents or citations on Monday, according to WBZ News Radio.

“Couldn’t ask for a better day,” he said.

In a series of tweets, Boston Police said the crowd was “behaving like champions” and that spectators were “well-behaved, respectful and responsible.”

There were no arrests or major disturbances at last year’s event either, The Boston Globe reported.
