Salem police identify suspect accused of shooting at officers
Salem police have named a suspect being sought for allegedly firing at officers.
On Thursday evening, two police officers tried to take a suspect into custody on Fairfield Street when that suspect took out a gun and fired on both officers. The suspect then fled. Neither officer was struck.
The suspect is identified as Jeremiah Wooden, and described by Salem police as a black male, 6-feet tall, weighing 200 pounds.
Police list a past address for Wooden at 22 Spring St. in Malden.
