Encore Boston Harbor set to become a COVID-19 vaccination site (April 27)
Encore Boston Harbor was set to open as a COVID-19 vaccination site on Tuesday, The State House News Service reports.
Doses of the vaccine were slated to be administered in one of the Everett casino’s ballrooms, Loretta Lillios, director of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission’s Investigations and Enforcement Bureau, said Monday.
Vaccines will be available to both casino employees and the general public, according to the News Service. Appointments can be made through the state’s vaccine website.
Lillios said there have been no issues with COVID-19 protocol adherence in recent weeks at the state’s three gambling centers.
There has been “continued adherence to the measures that have been put in place for health and safety, and they really haven’t let up,” Lillios said.
