If you’re not already eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Massachusetts, you’re about to find out when you will be.

Gov. Charlie Baker tweeted Tuesday evening that his administration will release a schedule Wednesday morning for when all the remaining groups in the state’s vaccine rollout will be eligible to sign up for an appointment.

“Every resident will know when they are eligible for a vaccine,” Baker said.

Baker’s tweet comes after officials in neighboring Connecticut announced Monday that the state would accelerate its rollout to make all residents over the age of 16 eligible for a vaccine appointment beginning on April 5, after being told by the federal government to anticipate a significant increase in vaccine supply in the coming weeks.

President Joe Biden declared last week that all adults in the United States should be eligible to be vaccinated by May 1. And while Biden said that doesn’t mean everyone will be able to immediately secure an appointment, he has also pledged to increase the country’s vaccine supply to have enough doses for all American adults by the end of May.

Massachusetts is currently midway through Phase 2 of the state’s three-phase rollout. Residents over the age of 65, individuals with multiple qualifying health conditions, and K-12 school and child care center employees are eligible to get a vaccine, in addition to more targeted Phase 1 groups.

The rollout has yet to expand to the final two Phase 2 groups: certain workers likely to be exposed to COVID-19 and individuals with one qualifying medical condition. Since the plan was first outlined in December, officials have said that Phase 3, when eligibility will open to the rest of the general public, would begin in April.

Last week, after pressure from lawmakers, Baker’s administration launched a vaccine preregistration system that allows residents to provide basic information and receive a notification when an appointment is available for them.
