Lulu’s Allston announced its temporary closure Thursday on social media, with staff writing to customers that the business is committed to doing everything possible to “maintain a clean and safe environment for all” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are taking all of the necessary precautions and will be closed until further notice while we deep clean the restaurant and have all of our employees tested,” the message reads. “We will reopen once we feel it is safe to do so.”
According to the restaurant, the two employees who tested positive are “doing well.”
A recorded message on the restaurant’s phone line Saturday said any announcements about a reopening would be posted to the business’s social media accounts and website.
