A Beverly beach was closed Wednesday after police were called in to disperse a large crowd.
Beverly Mayor Mike Cahill noted in a Facebook post that the crowd at Rice’s Beach “did not comply with the requirements of the Governor’s order – specifically a large group of teens.”
“If this was last summer, we would have smiled to see you socializing and enjoying yourselves in the Sun,” Cahill said. “The problem is we just can’t gather and socialize in this way right now. Not yet.”
