The tribute to staff at Lakes Region General Hospital on Sunday drew national attention after ABC News tweeted an aerial image of the heart.

In the center of the nine cars, the New Hampshire police department wrote, “LPD THANKS YOU!”

Laconia firefighters also showed up to show appreciation, parking three trucks along the curb with their red lights beaming.

“All of these hard-working medical professionals are truly on the front lines and are the heart and soul in this battle against this deadly virus,” police wrote in a Facebook post. “We appreciate our medical professionals and are honored and proud to support them!!”

LRGHealthcare CEO and President Kevin Donovan told WMUR that staff enjoyed peering outside to see the display.

“They’re about taking care of each other, they’re about supporting each other,” he told the news station. “It’s about showing each other and coming together to take care of everybody. It’s just really nice.”
