Regular service on Red Line resumes following train derailment
The MBTA said shuttle buses between the Ashmont and JFK/UMass stops are being phased out.
Regular service is resuming on the Red Line after an early train derailment prompted the use of shuttle buses between the Ashmont and JFK/UMass stations during the Tuesday morning commute. The buses replaced service in both directions on the Red Line starting around 5:30 a.m., according to the MBTA. Repairs were completed around 9 a.m., and regular service resumed with the phasing out of the bus shuttles. Follow updates from the MBTA below:
