Man killed in single-car rollover crash on Route 128 in Peabody
A man died after his SUV crashed Wednesday morning on Route 128 in Peabody.
The crash happened about 7:15 a.m. on the southbound side of Route 128, which is also I-95, at Exit 44.
According to state police, a man driving a GMC Terrain struck a guardrail, causing the SUV to roll over. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver’s name has not been released. The crash remains under investigation.

Two lanes of Route 128 were closed following the crash. Those lanes have since reopened. The breakdown lane remained closed in the area.
