Delays on MBTA’s Red line after fire damages cables

A fire on MBTA tracks near the Charles/MGH station continues to cause delays for Friday morning Red Line commuters.

Shuttle buses replaced Red Line trains for the part of the morning commute as crews did repairs.

Red Line service resumed at about 7 a.m., according to MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo, but residual delays are expected to continue.
