Harvard coach disappointed by cancellation of season, but respects decision
A day after Harvard abruptly canceled the men’s soccer season over a lewd “scouting report,’’ the team’s coach on Friday expressed disappointment but said he respected the decision.
“Actions have consequences, and character counts,’’ Coach Pieter Lehrer said in a statement released by the university. “We accept responsibility for our actions, and I know that we will use the experience of this terribly unfortunate situation to be better.”
