The "Grace and Frankie" co-stars were detained during a rally on Capitol Hill.
For the second Friday in a row, actress Jane Fonda has been arrested while protesting climate change. This time, she had “Grace and Frankie” co-star and Cambridge native Sam Waterston by her side.
Fonda, 81, and Waterston, 78, were among 17 protesters arrested by for unlawful demonstration on Capitol Hill, the Associated Press reports. Older demonstrators had a strong showing at the protest in the name of climate change, an issue that University of Maryland sociologist Dana Fisher told the outlet appears to be driven by younger people.
Ted Johnson of Deadline, who was at the scene on Friday, tweeted that Waterston said it was his first arrest.
