Fresh Market, a North Carolina-based grocery chain, is making strides.
According to the Boston Business Journal, the company announced this week that two new locations are opening in Massachusetts: one in Mansfield and the other in Framingham.
The stores will offer in-house, smoked brisket, ribs, and pork, as well as Italian-style pizza, in addition to the usual staples, according to reports.
In the past month, the grocery chain has opened up six new locations. These two new Massachusetts locations are being added to the previously sole location in Hingham. All three of these stores are within 40 miles of each other.
Ray and Beverly Berry founded the company in 1982. Fresh Market now operates 167 locations in 22 states, including 21 in North Carolina.
The chain was voted the “Best Grocery Store in America” by USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards in 2023, 2022, and 2021.
