Though business isn't as booming, Keith Lambert said some are still stopping in for their Trump-themed shirts, hats, and more.

Since Joe Biden was declared president-elect, Keith Lambert has had to reimagine his path forward.

As the owner of nearly two dozen “New England for Trump” stores, Lambert told WHDH-TV that he’s hopeful he’ll be able to keep at least a few of his brick-and-mortar locations open through winter, and is in the process of negotiating those leases.

Though business overall has waned since the election, he said a few people are still stopping in for Trump-themed merchandise.

“People just love him, so they desperately want to be a part of everything that he does and support him in every way,” Lambert told the station. “He’s like a brand, and he’s good at creating brands, but he’s created a brand in and of himself which is great.”

What started last year as one shop grew into 22 locations spread across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut. Most recently, Lambert opened storefronts in Worcester and in Queensbury, New York.

He told WHDH that he expects to keep most of his shops open through Christmas or longer, but plans to keep at least five of his locations open throughout 2021.

In four years from now, President Trump is going to be Joe Biden’s age, so I’m assuming he’s going to be running for president in 2024,” Lambert told the station. “So I’m optimistic, as long as people are excited about our president and want to support him, we will stay open.”
