Partners to acquire RI’s Care New England
Partners HealthCare said Wednesday it has agreed to acquire one of Rhode Island’s largest hospital operators, the most aggressive move yet by the Boston-based company to extend its reach beyond Massachusetts.
The owner of Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women’s hospitals said that it signed a letter of intent to exclusively negotiate a merger with Care New England Health System, of Providence.
