The richest person in Massachusetts and the fourth wealthiest woman in America with a $13.2 billion net worth, Johnson obtained her MBA from Harvard Business School before taking over as CEO of Fidelity Investments from her father in 2014.
Johnson’s father, 86-year-old Edward Johnson III, of Boston, remains the chairman of the company that his father founded in 1946, according to Forbes. With a $7.1 billion net worth, Johnson ranked 68th.
The owner and chairman of New Balance, Jim Davis, 73, of Newton, ranked 94th with a $5.2 billion net worth. Davis bought the company in 1972 when it only produced 30 pairs of shoes a day.
