Idle Hands Craft Ales is opening its new Malden brewery next week
More than a year after being pushed out of its brewery in Everett, Idle Hands Craft Ales will open at a new spot in Malden next week.
The new brewery, located along the Orange Line in Malden Center, will hold its grand opening on July 7, the company announced Thursday.

Idle Hands used to be located on land near the planned Wynn Resorts casino in Everett. Wynn bought the building and demolished it to build an access road to the construction site, leaving Idle Hands on the prowl for a new home last June.
Idle Hands described the eviction as abrupt, though Idle Hands founder Chris Tkach said he knew the company would get the boot eventually and had been thinking of relocating prior to it happening.
The company secured the Malden lease last fall. At the time, Tkach said the 5,300-square-foot brewery space would provide more of a sit-down experience than the 1,600-square-foot Everett location.
