DraftKings ads have taken over the MBTA, too
DraftKings isn’t limiting its seemingly non-stop advertising blitz to the small screen.
The Boston-based daily fantasy sports company was one of the top five advertisers with the MBTA for September, MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo said. Partly buoyed by DraftKings’s ads, the T took in $3.16 million in ad revenue in September, its best month ever.

DraftKings has also purchased wraparound ads on two MBTA buses (seen above) for the price of $8,500 every four weeks per bus, Pesaturo said.
DraftKings’s ad strategy on public transit isn’t limited to Boston, either. Their ads have been plastered around public transit buses in cities across the country, including in Chicago…

Those widespread ads have come with their own political cost. The fantasy company has faced increased scrutiny in recent weeks, largely as a result of the attention that comes with all that advertising.
