What it would look like if Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks swapped logo colors
How would Dunkin’ Donuts iconic logo look in Starbucks green?
A graphic designer recently swapped the colors of major competitors’ logos, including those of the coffee behemoths, as part of a creative exercise, Adweek reported.
“There’s something unbelievably awkward and uncomfortable about seeing globally-familiar brand logos wearing someone else’s clothes — and everybody seems to agree,’’ the designer, Paula Rúpolo, wrote in a Printsome blog post.

Rúpolo said the Starbucks mermaid was able to pull off the new look. As for Dunkin’s logo? Not so much.
“The Starbucks mermaid is so iconic that it could probably withstand a major brand [color] change. That indicates good design,’’ she wrote. “Dunkin’ Donuts, on the other hand, relies in its [colors] (I love the combination) a lot more than on the logo itself. It becomes dull when monochromatic.’’
In other words, don’t change Dunkin’, don’t ever change.
