Framingham-based Jack’s Abby Brewing is planning to head to new digs. The craft brewery announced this week that it intends to move into a 67,000 square foot downtown Framingham space that will include 5,000 square feet for a tasting room and restaurant.

The craft brewery was founded in 2011 by three brothers—Jack, Eric, and Sam Hendler—and has been operating out of about 12,000 square feet in Framingham.

Jack’s Abby will lease out former manufacturing space at 100 Clinton Street, known by Framinghamians as the Dennison Building (for the Dennison Manufacturing Co. that long filled it). It plans to refurbish it for brewery, restaurant, and office purposes, starting in the spring. A late 2015 opening is tentatively planned.

Jack’s Abby beers are currently sold in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, and Vermont. It brewed 14,000 barrels in 2014 and projects to brew 20,000 next year, according to spokesperson Sonia Friedman. The new brewery would have the capability to brew 50,000 barrels per year, and could expand beyond that. Jack’s Abby employs 25 people, and expects after the move to add another 30 to 40 employees across variety of operations, Friedman said.

Note:Due to a source error, a previous version of this article said the company would add 15 employees after it moved. In fact, Friedman says, Jack’s Abby plans to add 30 to 40 employees, and this article has been updated to reflect that.
