The two products—the Nap Nanny and the Nap Nanny Chill—were recalled last June by Baby Matters LLC, the company that created it. Prior to that recall, several retailers had issued their own recalls in response to the five deaths. According to ABC, about 165,000 of the recliners were sold prior to the recall.
