Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton cheered on their daughter at the Boston Marathon on Monday, greeting Chelsea Clinton at the finish line after she completed the 26.2-mile race.
Video from WCVB shows the three embracing as she took in the crowds on Boylston Street.
It was the first time Chelsea Clinton, 46, the vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, ran the Boston Marathon, which she finished under the pseudonym Margaret Smith at 3 hours, 40 minutes, and 52 seconds. Race results were later updated to reflect her real name.
Clinton wrote the picture book “She Persisted,” which inspired a separate chapter book that highlights the life of Margaret Chase Smith, the first woman to serve in both houses of Congress.
Clinton is an experienced marathoner, having run the New York City Marathon several times. Her time of 3:44:22 at the 2025 New York City Marathon qualified her for the Boston by a margin of 38 seconds.
