This up-close encounter, according to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, features a shark named after 7-year old Danny Sheehan, who in January 2017 was diagnosed with Pineoblastoma — a very rare and aggressive form of brain cancer — and leptomeningeal disease, which occurs when cancer cells migrate into the cerebral spinal fluid.
“Danny’s battle continues to this day,” Conservancy officials wrote on the video’s Facebook post. “We ask all of our supporters to send positive thoughts and prayers his way.”
