‘He’s coming right up to the boat!’: Shark captured on video off Cape Cod
The shark was spotted near a dead humpback whale.
A lobstering trip on Cape Cod Bay turned into a close encounter with a huge shark.
In a video posted to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s Facebook page, a large white shark can be seen swimming right up to the boat, briefly coming in contact with the vessel’s edge. Matty Riley, who shared the footage with the conservancy, took the video around 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

The encounter comes during a period of high shark activity on the Cape. Many sightings and beach closures have already occurred this month.
