A golden retriever in Hanover climbed under a back deck. Firefighters then had to rescue him.

The Hanover Fire Department was called to a home on Ledgewood Drive Tuesday morning to free a golden retriever stuck under a backyard deck. The department shared photos of the rescue on Facebook. “The dog managed to get himself under the deck but could not get out,” officials wrote on Facebook. “Multiple attempts by the homeowner were unsuccessful.”
Firefighters cleared dirt from under the deck and were able to grab the dog and pull him out. “Aside from needing a bath, the dog was unaffected!” officials wrote.
