A local TV helicopter captured footage of a bald eagle in Framingham
Is there a more appropriate Presidents Day bird sighting than the one on the country’s seal?
A nesting bald eagle was spotted Monday by a WBZ helicopter in Framingham. Remaining stationary in its nest, the eagle appeared unfazed by the noisy craft hovering above it.

Several bald eagles have also recently been sighted on the Charles River in Boston. As WBUR reported Friday, the once-endangered species’ population is now soaring in Massachusetts. While most commonly spotted near the Connecticut River and Quabbin Reservoir, bald eagles are reportedly becoming somewhat regular sights in and around Boston, especially during the winter months when they migrate to southern New England.
