Around 11 a.m., a park ranger discovered the two pit-bull mixes tied to a tree, CBS Boston reported. The ranger waited for some time but no one claimed the dogs.
Animal Care and Control named the dogs Shelley and Shelby, and said they were nice and gentle, according to CBS Boston. One of the dogs had lacerations consistent with burning due to hot pavement on the pads of her paws, the news station reported.
Officials are asking the for the public’s help in finding the dogs’ owner. Anyone who recognizes the dogs or has information is asked to call 617-635-5348
