Man helps immobilized shark on Provincetown coast

A man got up close and personal with a shark in Provincetown Wednesday as he set it free from a rocky shore.

A video posted by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy shows Frank Mockler climbing down a rocky coast line to approach the shark, which the conservancy said was a porbeagle.

The shark appeared to be upside-down and stuck on top of the rocks.

Mockler used a fishing pole to move the shark onto its side, and it eventually slid off of the rock and swam away.

The conservancy praised Mockler for his “wonderful effort.” Watch the full rescue:
