Two young fawns were rescued Thursday morning after one of the babies was found trying to nurse from its dead mother.
A Massachusetts Environmental police officer was traveling to New Bedford when he saw a fawn with the doe, which had been fatally struck by a car, along the median of I-195 in Wareham, according to a department statement.
