The MSPCA is in a bit of a ‘pig pickle’
Goats aren’t the only farmyard animals in need of new homes at the MSPCA.
In addition to the 46 goats surrendered in May, the animal protection agency said in a Sunday Facebook post there are 15 pigs at the location in Methuen in need of adoptive families.
Since the pig barn at Nevins Farm ideally houses six hogs, the MSPCA said they’re in a “pig pickle” and have had to get creative with finding spaces for the animals:
“Peek in some of our horse stalls in the barn and you may find snoozing pigs in a blanket or be greeted by a pig strolling down the barn hallway!”
Anyone interested in adopting a pig can contact Nevins Farm to learn more or set up a time to meet the wallow-loving animals.
