3 moose struck by cars in 3 hours in New Hampshire

Four drivers hit three moose in a period of three hours in New Hampshire Friday night, according to New Hampshire state troopers.

The first collision occurred just after 7 p.m. on Route 2 in Randolph where a Toyota driven by a man struck a moose, police said. A second crash took place in Sugar Hill around 9:30 p.m. when two vehicles hit a moose on I-93, according to police. The final crash occurred just before 10 p.m. when a Dodge Caravan driven by an elderly couple collided with a moose on Route 110 in Stark.

While each of the vehicles involved was seriously damaged, the drivers and passengers sustained only minor injuries, police said.

Police cautioned drivers to be aware of wildlife on the roadway, and to be sure that their vehicles have adequate lighting for driving at night.
