We will be taking some late-summer days off (today included).
I’ll use this space for some announcements today:
1. An editor friend is putting together new wedding features for the Globe.
If you or someone you know got married or is getting married and wants to talk about it, email [email protected].
She will want details about your love, and pictures of the ceremony and that kind of thing. I’m sure you all know lots of people who would want in on that kind of happy attention, right?
2. The American Repertory Theater opens “Romeo and Juliet” soon. It is a new take on a story we know. The cast includes Rudy Pankow, an actor from the show “Outer Banks” – a series I have not watched, but I’ve heard is a big deal.
Love Letters will have its own night with the production on Sept. 26. I’ll do a talkback about the importance of young love (and why it’s so frustrating to watch!) with our Love Letters podcast producer, Christine Ahanotu.
We’re calling the talk, “You’ve got to be kidding me with these two.” Because that’s how I used to feel about Romeo and Juliet before I let myself love them.
There will be a discount code for our tickets soon, but if you want to make sure you get in, you can get a full-price pair today.
3. I’m ready to read, overthink, and get introspective about your letters. Tell me angst about friendships, singleness, courtship, long-term relationships, thoughts on the future, etc. Ask your own question to help others. Use the anonymous form or email [email protected].
Try to get some fresh air today. In Boston, at least, it looks lovely.
