Look at these Friendly’s Pop Tarts ice cream sandwiches
Just look at them.
Local staple Friendly’s has been known for its burgers, hot dogs, and of course, ice cream sundaes, for more than 80 years. Now, the restaurant is combining a new ice cream flavor with a famous breakfast pastry for a menu item that really breaks the fourth wall of sugar-fueled snacks.
The Candy Bar Ice Cream Sandwich features the restaurant’s newest flavor: Candy Bar Ice Cream, a blend of rich nougat ice cream with chocolate-coated peanuts, milk chocolate chunks, fudge, and caramel swirled it. That ice cream is then sandwiched between two Frosted Fudge Pop Tarts and, for a bit of an extra crunch, sprinkled with Take 5 candy bar crumbles (bits of a Hershey milk chocolate bar filled with pretzels, caramel, peanuts and peanut butter).
Friendly’s introduced this dessert creation to their menu on Friday, April 4, and it will be available at all locations until June 5.
