The Boston area is getting a new pizza place. And it’s backed by former Miami Dolphins quarterback and pro football Hall of Famer Dan Marino.

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza is a South Florida-based chain founded by Anthony Bruno and partly owned by Marino. Massachusetts got its first of the coal-burning oven pizza place’s locations in Westwood in 2015. Now, a second spot is opening in Reading on January 25.

The chain started in Florida in 2002 and has since expanded with more than 50 restaurants throughout the northeast. The old-world, coal-burning ovens create a “well-done pizza,’’ according to a press release. Two additional Massachusetts locations in Northborough and Littleton are planned for this year, as well.

Anthony’s offers a variety of pies, with “dough made fresh, in-house every day,’’ according to their website. They also serve coal-oven sandwiches and an assortment of Italian food.
