Before Clio closes, taste everything at Clio
The Boston restaurant is welcoming several guest chefs to present a 19-course menu.
Back Bay French eatery Clio will officially close after the new year, but not before patrons have one last chance to try a large selection of dishes that have made the spot so notable. Chef Ken Oringer will celebrate 19 years of Clio by serving a 19-course retrospective on December 15.
Oringer will be joined by 17 guest chefs, all of whom are alumni of Clio and have gone on to open their own restaurants, write their own books, and more. The lineup includes Tony Maws of Craigie on Main, Chris Chung of AKA Bistro in Lincoln, Renae Connolly of Cambridge gastronomy spot Café ArtScience, Zach Watkins of tapas eatery Toro, and Chris Gould of Central Provisions in Portland, Maine which was named one of the best new restaurants in the country byBon Appetitin 2014.
Some courses from the meal will include Whole Roasted Suckling Pig with housemade fermented hot sauce and lettuce wraps, and Smoked Veal Breast Tortellini with white truffles. The meal will cost $250 per person, and reservations must be made in order to secure a seat.
While Clio will officially be closing, the space that it occupies inside the Eliot Hotel will remain in the hands of Oringer, who will open an expanded version of Uni Sashimi Bar.
