Ben & Jerry’s is making an almond milk ‘ice cream’
Ben & Jerry’s is giving their cows a break with their new vegan frozen desserts.
In June, the South Burlington, Vermont-based ice cream company announced its plan to provide a dairy-free ice cream in 2016, but shared few other details about the product.
The silence has been broken.
Last week, Ben & Jerry’s announced that their line of vegan frozen desserts will be made from almond milk.
“Almond milk gave us the best blank canvas to carry the funky chunks and swirls that you know and love,’’ the company’s flavor guru, Kirsten Schimoler, said in the statement.
The company still has not announced a release date for the products.
