Narragansett’s new beer shows support for Tom Brady

The Town Beach IPA sneaks in a “Free TB12’’ message on the bottom of every can.

The final batches of summer beers are slowly making their way off shelves, but Rhode Island’s Narragansett Brewing Company has a perfect solution: a new beer that’s equal parts summer and fall.

This week, the brewery releases its Town Beach IPA, an homage to the local town beach of Narragansett, Rhode Island. The IPA combines classic summer flavors with hints of early fall. According to a news release:

“The easy drinking session IPA features hallertau, nugget and EKG hops and is brewed with pale, cara pils and wheat malts, delivering a well-rounded hop profile with just the right amount of bitterness. Golden amber in color, Town Beach IPA is dry-hopped with citra hops at the finish, resulting in a crisp, clean and slightly fruity beer.’’

Town Beach IPA is about as New England as the Pats, which is why ’Gansett also included a “Free TB12’’ message on the bottom of every can. Look for the new brew in stores across New England and beyond starting this week.
