Ben & Jerry’s Announces Two New ‘Saturday Night Live’ Themed Flavors
Ben & Jerry’s has announced two new flavors inspired by “Saturday Night Live’’ sketches, and they sound pretty delicious.
First on the list of new flavors is Lazy Sunday, a vanilla cake batter ice cream that also contains chocolate and yellow cupcake pieces as well as a chocolate frosting swirl. It’s inspired by the Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell’s digital short where the pair raps about their love of cupcakes.
You can check out the hilarious skit in the video embedded below.

The second flavor is Gilly’s Catastrophic Crunch, based on Kristen Wiig’s rambunctious schoolgirl character, and consists of a combo of chocolate ice cream, sweet-cream ice cream, caramel clusters, fudge-covered almonds, and marshmallow.
The Vermont-based ice cream company’s latest creations are being released to celebrate the show’s upcoming 40th anniversary season.
While Ben & Jerry’s latest offerings sure do sound mouth-watering, I kind of wish they picked some other iconic sketches to base their latest flavors on.
Anyone up for a scoop of Stefon’s Spicy Swirl?
