Andrew Zimmern Visits Boston for Charity Pop-Up Dinner
A week ago, “Bizarre Foods’’ host Andrew Zimmern came to town and teamed up with a selection of six notable local chefs for a pop-up dinner to benefit healthy food rescue operation, Lovin’ Spoonfuls.
The event, held at the New England Center for Arts & Technology on Bradston St., raised more than $20,000 for the charity. Four courses of cuisine from Zimmern, James Beard Award winner Jamie Bissonette (Toro, Coppa), and James Beard Award nominees Matthew Jennings (Farmstead Inc.) and Joanne Chang drew a crowd of 125 guests.
